God's Rock-Rubbing/Overlay for our Mind/Soul
Mood:
happy
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 8:10
S. Hebrews 8:10 (AMP) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. O. This is God's expressed wish with regards to the disposal of His property after death...that He will transfer by giving and positioning His wishes to His 'Dwelling Place/Temple/US'. He will do this jus before the 'Light'/Jesus comes. This is the time when sin is abstained and 'darkness' leaves. God says He will furnish/give, as a gift, His 'Perscription for living here on Earth'...His Law...to His those who are His 'kin'. He will do this by OVERLAYING His way of thinking, feeling, understanding, desiring and imagining OVER THE TOP OF His 'kin's' minds/souls (the seat of our intelligence, will and character). He will then exist as a God to us (His 'kin'). We will then exist as His 'kin' to Him. A. By rubbing a pencil over paper that sits on a rock, we get the impression of that rock. This takes pressure and friction, along with the tools to use in order to capture that impression. This is what God does to our minds/souls when we decide to accept Him as our God. He changes our way of thinking, feeling and imagining...our will and character...into what He desires for us. This is His 'will & testiment' for us, since we are now dead to sin. We die, and His will & testiment is overlayed onto our mind/soul...just as the 'Rock rubbing'. It takes time, pressure and a desire to get that 'impression'. But we can have the exact 'overlay' that God has designed for us IF we stick to it and keep that 'picture' in our mind...IMAGINE IT! P. Thank You, Father, for the Mind Overlay! Help me to imagine what You imagine, see what You see...and rub, rub, rub!

Being God's 'REP'
Mood:
amorous
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 7:14, 17
S. Hebrews 7:14, 17 (AMP)For it is obvious that our Lord sprang from the tribe of Judah, and Moses mentioned nothing about priests in connection with that tribe. For it is witnessed of Him, You are a Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek. O. It is obvious that Jesus was set into the job of finishing the 'valueing, thanking and approving' of God. Moses' words germinated nothing (made nothing sprout or grow) concerning what is beyond having the 'authority to act in the name/character of God' (Priesthood). (17) For he was a witness, having seen, heard or experienced this authority, when he said, "You are one who has authority to act in the name/character of God...FOREVER...having arranged and distributed us in the same position as the 'King of Righteousness'. A Jesus came to finish the job of revealing God's value to us. He came to show us what we needed to do to BE what God created us to be in the first place. Then Jesus showed us that we have the authority to act in the same 'character/attributes/traits/abilities' as God by KNOWING who God is, His character, abilities, personality, etc...intimately. How can we BE like someone if we don't KNOW them intimately? Through Jesus, and submitting to Him, we can KNOW God and have a intimate relationship with Him. In knowing God and His Son, we are to imitate who they are. We become their 'priests', acting on their behalf here on Earth. P, The only way I can be Your 'rep', Father, is to know You personally. Show me how to come closer to You, Jesus, in every step I take here on Earth. I can't BE like You without KNOWING who You are!

HOPE: The ANCHOR Between Heaven & Earth
Mood:
celebratory
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 6:19,20
S. Hebrews 6:19,20AMP) [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, O. within the veil — two images beautifully combined: (1) The soul is the ship: the world the sea: the bliss beyond the world, the distant coast; the hope resting on faith, the anchor which prevents the vessel being tossed to and fro; the encouraging consolation through the promise and oath of God, the cable connecting the ship and anchor. (2) The world is the fore-court: heaven, the Holy of Holies; Christ, the High Priest going before us, so as to enable us, after Him, and through Him, to enter within the veil. Estius explains: As the anchor does not stay in the waters, but enters the ground hidden beneath the waters, and fastens itself in it, so hope, our anchor of the soul, is not satisfied with merely coming to the vestibule, that is, is not content with merely earthly and visible goods, but penetrates even to those which are within the veil, namely, to the Holy of Holies, where it lays hold on God Himself, and heavenly goods, and fastens on them. "Hope, entering within heaven, hath made us already to be in the things promised to us, even while we are still below, and have not yet received them; such strength hope has, as to make those that are earthly to become heavenly." "The soul clings, as one in fear of shipwreck to an anchor, and sees not whither the cable of the anchor runs - where it is fastened: but she knows that it is fastened behind the veil which hides the future glory." (E-Sword's JFB Commentary) A. "The soul clings, as one in fear of shipwreck to an anchor, and sees not whither the cable of the anchor runs - where it is fastened: but she knows that it is fastened behind the veil which hides the future glory." P. Thank You Father for Your Anchor of Hope! You thought of everything!

DISCERNING REAL SPIRITUAL FOOD: Useful & Valuable
Mood:
hungry
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 5:14
S. Hebrews 5:14 (AMP) But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law. O. The spiritually mature person, got that way by making a habit (by practicing over and over) the discernment of what is spiritually useful and what is spiritually useless; what is spiritually valuable and what is spiritually destructive. This is achieved by meditating on what is questioned. The thing in question has to be exposed and made naked and then vigoursly thought out. It is then discerned whether it is spiritually useful or harmful, vaulable or destructive. A. I'm always looking for what feeds my spirit full. If it is bad in any way, then it has to be taken out of the way of my spirit. My spirit can not grow where there is obstructive things. What is good, spiritually, will have growth and result in fruit. This is how I can discern what can stay in my life or what has to go. P. Holy Spirit, be BIG in me. Help me to spiritually KNOW what produces fruit in my life. I want a FAT SPIRIT! I pray the fruit that produces joy and contentment. These are my spiritual quests...REAL SPIRITUAL FOOD!

God's Word; Dividing Soul and Spirit
Mood:
crushed out
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 4:12
S. Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. O. God's "Communication of His Ideas and Thoughts" (His Bible) are opperational, active and acutely sensitive, more so than even two mouths that battle in controversy. God's "Thought Communications" reach and go through us with a set-possitioned sufficency. They show us the difference in what we experience with our 5 senses (touch, feel, see, taste, smell)...our physical senses, and what we think, feel and decide (our vital principle and what 'animates' us). His "Thought Communications" show us the difference in what connects our body/flesh and our vitatlity/essential inner-most part/center. His "Communication" is the 'judge' of our inspired thinking...the passions of our innermost parts/center. A. To say it in simple terms: God's Word is the Divider of our Soul (the fleshly part of us that can sin) and the Spirit (the part that knows right and wrong and makes us who we are as indiviuals...our character). God's Word cuts those two in half, and shows us the difference. God's Word also shows us how to judge the difference in our Soul and Spirit. P. Thank You, Father, for Your Word that shows me the difference between my soul and my spirit, and the way to knowing what YOU desire them to be. Open my eyes to knowing the difference, and to knowing Your hearts-desire in what You have designed me to be in merging the two.

R.I.P.
Mood:
lazy
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 3:19
S, Hebrews 3: 19 (AMP) So we see that they (those who were lead out of Egypt by Moses) were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out]. O, So we contemplate that those led out of sin (Egypt) by Jesus (Moses) had no ability or posibility to enter into the mindset of 'resting' (restraining to take any action/work) by reason of their NOT trusting and relying on, with inward certainty, on God. A, Resting in God means that we have an inner peace that KNOWS we don't have to do anything to please God. He is already 'PLEASED' by the Spirit that lives in us. If we have accepted Jesus as our Master, then we have entered into that 'PEACE' that is God inside of us. No 'work/action' can bring that peace. Our 'Peace' is automatic because it's already been 'worked for' by Jesus on the cross. We just accept it. P, Jesus, I thank You for what You did for me on the cross. You completed my 'inner peace' there, and I have no work to complete. Help me to always rest in Your peace, in every and all situations.

I Am One Witness; I Am One Rescued
Mood:
chatty
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Hebrews 2:3b
S. Hebrews 2:3b For it (a 'great salvation') was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak]. O. Jesus used His words to disclose His mind and to disclose His thoughts. This was so that we would not disregard God's intention to deliver, heal, safeguard and perserve us...personally. These words of surety came from Jesus, the 'Originator' of our salvation. These words were then made sure and stedfast by the 'witnesses' who heard Him declare them; those who understood exactly what Jesus was saying and those who understood the mind and thoughts of Jesus...spirit to Spirit. A. How wonderful it would have been to hear Jesus speak about the rescue of God's people; hearing Jesus declare that we could be reunited with God, our Father, by believing in Jesus, the Son! To stand right in front of the Son of God would have been amazing! To hear His voice and become a witness to the truth, while understanding His heart for God's people, would have been awesome! And yet, being a child of God, I have heard His voice with perception and understanding. I am one of the witnesses of His declaration of salvation! For I have heard and understood, my spirit to His Spirit, what has miraculously happened through the love of God, and the death of His Son on the cross....for ME. I am ONE WITNESS, AND ONE OF THE RESCUED. P. Thank You, Jesus, that You have made me a witness to Your voice! I love Your voice and I love how Your Spirit speaks to mine! Thank You for Your rescue, Jesus...forever thank You!

The Spiritual "Beach Comber"
Mood:
hungry
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Psalm 104:9-11
S. Psalm 104:9-12 (AMP) You have set a boundary [for the waters] which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to deluge the earth. He sends forth springs into the valleys; their waters run among the mountains. They give drink to every [wild] beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst there. Beside them the birds of the heavens have their nests; they sing among the branches. O. 9.) God has fixed and enclosed a 'territory' for us, in which the 'waters of danger' (the process of change) can not proceed to use us up or wear us out. This 'process of change' will not be brought back to overwhelm us in our 'way through this Wilderness-life'. 10.) God extends to us, freely, a 'source of mental and spiritual satisfaction', an inherited 'wadi' or channel, of refreshing water that journeys with us in the midst of our understanding the problems we go throught in our lives. 11.)These 'sources of mental and spiritual satifaction' irrigate (revive) us for living, in order to keep our spirits full of life and growth as we go through this life. We journey through this life as a 'fast running wild 'ass'(running with patience and endurance or running in stubbornness)'. A. I can see myself walking along the beach, God's ocean allowed to only come up on the sand to a certain point. This is how He protects me in my Christian walk of life. Walking along the shore of the ocean is a parallel of learning to walk through this life between the 'spiritual' (the ocean) and the 'flesh' (the earth/land). This is the place God has positioned His people. I have to practice 'walking the beach' and know that He has set limits on what could overwhelm me. He has set limits on how much the ocean can touch the land. He has protected me in order that I would not be 'wasted' or 'overwhelmed'. He knows exactly how much I can handle and will never give me more than that. As He watches me walk the 'beach', I know He is guiding me to exactly HOW I can merge the two; ocean to land; spiritual and flesh, just as Jesus did. God has given me 'treasures' along the shore to help me on my journey; a shell here, an agate there. These help me to be able to touch, feel and see the results of my 'beach walk'. They keep me revived and knowing that my 'beach combing' will be full of spiritual treasures IF I watch and listen to Him. These 'treasures' give me hope of more. They help me to want to keep 'walking' and searching. They keep me encouraged to go farther, searching more, and encourage me to keep going, just like God's Word and the little whispers of Holy Spirit, like the sound of tiny waves. Jesus gave me the example of HOW to walk between the spirit and flesh. His Word gives me the details. He is my example of THE Spiritual BEACH COMBER. P. Thank You Jesus for being a 'Beach Comber'! Thanks for being the perfect Example to follow in my 'beach walk'! Keep me ever following You, watching what You do and what You pick up! I want to eternally follow in Your footprints, Jesus!

What Color have We Made Ourselves?
Mood:
blue
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: Titus 1:15,16
S. Titus 1:15,16a (AMP) To the pure [in heart and conscience] all things are pure, but to the defiled and corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are defiled and polluted. They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; O. In speaking about 'fleshly people' (The 'Cretes'='Fleshy') Paul was saying that: "To the 'transparent-ones', all things are 'transparent'. But to those who take on a 'color' themselves ('color' which causes change in outward appearance by 'differing the qualities of 'Light'), contaminate what/who is around and are without credibility (are unbelievable). Nothing, to these 'colored-ones', is 'transparent'. Even their thoughts, feelings, will, understanding and conscience is colored in pretense. These 'colored-ones' declare openly to know God, but their very actions and accomplishments contradict Him. A. We can not 'color' ourselves. We allow God to 'remove' the color from our lives so that we can be REAL and TRANSPARENT, without defiling the purity of God. When we try to be who we think others should see us as, we 'color' ourselves, making us into a color that is of man and not of God. These 'man-made-colors' actually HIDE God and what others would KNOW as God in us. We cannot make ourselves into what we think the perception of God is, or should be, in ourselves. This is God's job, not ours. We just let Him take all the 'man-made-color' of deception out of our lives and let Him make us the color of transparency. P. Father, I don't want any 'man-made-color' to hide Your REALNESS in me! Make me TRANSPARENT, Father...YOUR color!

What Our Spirit Longs For
Mood:
a-ok
Now Playing: Umma23
Topic: 2 Timothy 3:15
S. 2 Timothy 3:15 (AMP) And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]. O. In Jesus, as discribed in the Bible, is the 'Channel of the Persuasion of Truth' (the Way to knowing/perceiving and cultivating the Truth/Morality), which shows us the ability He has in rescuing us, morally and physically, showing us the timing and purpose of that rescue. A. God's Word has all the answers to our what our constantly searching soul/spirit is asking; "WHAT IS TRUTH?" "Truth" is what is truly right and wrong, good or evil. "Truth" is knowing what morality is and how to BE that which our spirit/soul longs to be in order for us to truly be contented. The Bible holds the answers to what truly IS morally right. Jesus is Truth...Pure Morality. He continues to be the answer to what our soul longs for. Through seeing Him in the Bible, we perceive that He demonstrates what we can be when we carry the same Truth in us. By allowing Holy Spirit, Jesus' Spirit, to form us with the same morality, the same Truth, that was in Jesus, we become a 'shadow' of Jesus and our spirit can be content. HE IS the ANSWER to a full and contented spirit/soul! P. Jesus, Thank You for being my Example of what is longed for inside of me. Fill me up, Lord, with Your Moral Truth! Show me how to allow full contentment in my spirit!
