Psalm 20:7,8 (NKJ) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.
O.
Some trust in 'riding on the backs of others' while they fight. Some trust in those same 'horses' for their ability and speed. But we call to mind the reputation and character of the Lord our God! They have sunk lower and failed. But we become powerful and endure to the point of being restored like new, that we may testify of our God.
A.
I can not trust in the doctrine that someone else believes in, just by hear-say. I can't ride on their 'horse' or trust in their 'horse'. I have to know for myself what the Truth is and trust in that Truth, personally. I can not get through this life on the beliefs (horse) of others. I have to have my own knowledge of what truth is; my own personal wisdom and revelation of what God is to me.
Those who trust and rely on the 'horse/beliefs' of others and ride on their 'backs/beliefs' don't know the 'horse/belief' for their selves. They are relying on the person who knows that 'horse/belief' to get them where they want to go. Riding THE OTHER'S beliefs for what THEY know will only cause that 'hitchhiker' to fail in life. There is not PERSONAL knowledge and they can never stand alone. But those who know their 'horse/beliefs' personally will be completed (restored like new) and be able to show and tell others what God has done for them, personally.
P.
Father, I want to know all about You and what You stand for. Teach me to ride my own horse, Lord. Teach me personally, so that I can be completed and testify about You!
