2 Corinthians 2:16 (NKJ) To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
O.
To the people whose spirits are seeking and hearts are soft, they will listen and be open to what a Believer is living for; open to hearing about Jesus. To the people whose spirit is not seeking, they will not listen or even care for the Believer; actually shun the Believer with a hardened heart. No Believer can completely know the answer to this, being that he is not completely full of the knowledge of Jesus...they are not spiritually perfected.
A.
It is as though the I, as a Believer, am either accepted or not accepted on just being a 'Believer'. To the 'pre-chosen' I either 'stink' or I have a 'sweet aroma' to their spirits. I am either accepted and sought after, or I am shunned and made fun of. It's easy to tell, most of the time, who's spirit is ready and called by God. But those who aren't...those are the people that we have to guard our hearts from. We can pray for them, but it is of no use for them or us to minister to the person whose time hasn't come yet. They're spiritual eyes and ears are closed and their hearts hardened. They may even try to oppress us.
P.
Father, I want to always emit a sweet aroma for You. ALWAYS! Show me who I need to 'smell good' for, Father...and help them to smell Jesus in me!
